UNIMI.CropML_NL is a software component implementing approaches to the modellization of nitrogen limited crop development and growth. Models are implemented using a fine granularity, and they are also used in composite structures which can used as simulation models in applications.
This component is an extension of UNIMI.CropML_WL component, that is publicly available inclusive of Software Development Kit, help file and code documentation file.
For this reason, this help file does not include any documentation of the approaches implemented in CropML_WL for modelling potential crop development and growth, but it contains a full description of the algorithms used only for water limitations.
Being an extension, the CropML_NL has a dependency to the UNIMI.CropML.dll, UNIMI.CropML_WL.dll, to the UNIMI.CropML.Interfaces.dll and UNIMI.CropML_WL.Interfaces.dll. For using in custom applications, the user must handle these four libraries.
These are the crop models currently implemented in CropML_WL:
CropML_NL-WOFOST .(Van Keulen and Wolf, 1986; Boogaard et al.,1998) is a member of the family of crop growth models developed in Wageningen by the school of C.T. de Wit. It follows the hierarchical distinction between potential and limited production and share similar crop growth submodels, with light interception and CO2 assimilation as growth driving processes and crop phenological development as growth controlling process.
