Rice cultivation in paddy-fields is mostly driven by temperature, which may also induce spikelet sterility, and diseases. In high yielding areas, water and nitrogen are not a limiting factor, and a simulation which is driven by radiation intercepted by the crop and by temperature can be very close to actual crop performance, assuming correct application of agro-techniques.
CropML-WARM allows such simulations. Sample data set and parameters are provided to run simulations in France, Italy, and Spain.
