The tillage effect on soil layers mixing is simulated by WEPP model (Flanagan and Nearing, 1995). The simulation is based on a mixing coefficient, obtained from the table show before. It is possible to use this approach for both volumetric and mass variables.

newXl is  the final concentration in the layer l;

Xl and Xk are the concentrations in the layer l and k;

μ is the mixing coefficient;

 

mk is the bulk density of layer k per layer thickness for mass variable or

mk is the k layer thickness for volumetric variable.
