Tillage

Tillage effects depend on the tillage type.

The effects are related to:

- soil mixing and redistribution of water, organic matter, soil nitrogen amount and crop residue;

- bulk density;

- hydrologic parameters: water content at saturation, conductivity at saturation, parameters of soil water retention and conductivity function and so, field capacity and wilting point;

- roughness of surface layer and water storage.

These parameters can change after tillage too (soil shrinkage-swellings, crust formation after rain...).

The diagram below shows, from left to right, what variables are estimated/generated and which methods are implemented.
