Partition fraction for aerial dry mass (-) and aerial dry mass increment (t ha-1 d-1) are respectively expressed as a non-linear function of total dry biomass (TotDM, t ha-1):




where ADMPFmax is cultivar parameter (maximum partition fraction to aerial dry mass), PCB (ha t-1) is a species parameter representing the extinction coefficient of fraction of dry mass allocated to aboveground biomass, ΔTotDM (t ha-1 d-1) is daily total dry mass increments.

Partition fraction of below ground biomass and relative root dry mass increment (t ha-1 d-1) are derived as a consequence:
