Actual transpiration

At this point, by combining the reduction factors due to water stress (see topic Reduction of the transpiration due to water stress) and the one due to oxygen stress (see topic Reduction of the transpiration due to oxygen stress), the actual transpiration rate can be obtained via the following equation:

where Tract is the actual transpiration rate (cm d-1), Trpot is maximum crop transpiration rate (cm d-1) and Rshort is the reduction factor for the calculation of actual transpiration (unitless) and Rox,act is the actual oxygen stress reduction factor (unitless).
