Reduction to daily assimilation

The calculated daily assimilation in CH2O will be reduced when water stress occurs. In the model effects of water stress on assimilation are related to the ratio of actual transpiration and potential transpiration. Gross assimilation rate, corrected for water stress, is then computed:

where ASStot,t,actual is gross daily CH2O assimilation rate corrected for water stress (kg ha-1 d-1) , ASStot,t,potential is gross daily CH2O assimilation rate not corrected for water stress (kg ha-1 d-1), Tract is the actual transpiration rate (cm d-1) and Trpot is potential transpiration (cm d-1).
