Partitioning factors

In WOFOST the partitioning factors to the various organs of the plant of the total assimilates are calculated using AFGEN tables, in function of development stage.

This allows to derive, for each time step and for each crop, the coefficients relative to the fraction of assimilates partitioned to:

• roots,
• stems,
• leaves,
• storage organs.

An example of partitioning scheme obtained from the parameterization of a rice cultivar is shown in the figure below:
