Resistance category

The simplest approach to consider the variable host resistance to the epidemic development allows to set a resistance category ranging from 0 (complete resistance) to 4 (no resistance) according to the susceptibility of the crop variety simulated (e.g., White et al., 2004). The category is translated into a spore mortality coefficient (Spres, 0-1), which modulates the daily sporulation efficiency (Speff, %), as described in the following equation.
