Events of tillage affect state variables of the SoilW component whose values are modified.

Tillage interacts with SoilW component changing several variables involved in water dynamic. Water dynamic handles directly the tillage events.

Events can interfere into the simulation running in two ways: modifying State variable values or modifying parameters Strategy values.

Variables that are changed by tillage and are pertinent to SoilW component are:

• bulk density,
• saturated conductivity,
• field capacity,
• wilting point,
• actual water content in soil layers,
• water content at saturation,
• van Genuchten alpha
