Simulation of this approach is proposed by WEPP (Flanagan and Nearing, 1995). At first, the residual crop cutting down is simulated as function of the tillage intensity. Then, the residual burial simulation is computed depending on the percentage of soil covered by residuals and on the fragility of the same residuals (obtained from experimental data).
